Used Book Sale
The Friends Ongoing Book Sale is open for business during all library hours. You will find a remarkable variety of items at bargain prices. Hardcover books: 50¢. Paperbacks: 25¢. Magazines: 5¢. At any given time, there may be CDs, audio cassettes, record albums and other media, priced as marked. The bookstore is located in the northwest corner of the library's first floor, right next to the cafe.
To stock the sale, the Friends accept donations of "gently used" books, magazines and audio visual material from the community. Patrons may drop off donations at a designated area near the library's Cook Avenue entrance. Due to space limitations, they will not accept Readers Digest Condensed Books, encyclopedias and out-dated text books. To receive a tax letter acknowledgment by mail, stop by the library's Reception Booth and complete a short form.
Funds collected from the book sale support library programming and purchases that are beyond their regular budget. Since 1978, the Friends have provided more than $250,000 in gifts to the library.
